Flower and art show: The Historic Wakefield Foundation continues its 31st annual Flower and Art Show through Friday, May 18. This year’s event features the work of more than 70 artists, each artwork accompanied by a floral arrangement designed to produce a unified, harmonious display. Mother’s Day Lunch: Airfield 4-H Conference Center, 15189 Airfield Road, Wakefield, will have a Mother’s Day Lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $17 for adults, $13 for children (8-12), $10 for children (4-7) and $5 for children 3 and under (prices include tax.). The Full Monty: Smithfield Little Theatre presents “The Full Monty” the musical. Showtimes will be on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. through May 13. Who couldn’t love a bunch of steelworkers singing, dancing and removing their clothing in this main stage production of the infamous musical? Rated R for mature audiences. Citizens’ Association: The Isle of Wight Citizens’ Association will meet 7 p.m., in the community room of Sentara St. Luke’s, 20209 Sentara Way, Carrollton. Windsor AARP: AARP Windsor Chapter No. 5309 will have its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. in the Windsor Ruritan Clubhouse, 14 Community Drive, Windsor. The club will hold a silent auction fundraiser.

Fort Huger Walking Tour: This is a special free program presented by the Isle of Wight County Museum, and begins at 10 a.m. Meet at the fort: 15080 Talcott Terrace in the county.

 

Friday, May 25

Bethlehem Jam: Randy Evens and The Last Call Band will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Ruritan Club House, 140 Manning Road, Suffolk. No admission charge, but donations to the tip jar go to the band so please give generously. Soft drinks, BBQ, hot dogs, snacks and desserts will be available for purchase. AARP driving class: The Isle of Wight County Commission on Aging will host an AARP Safety Defensive Driving Class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 5 and 6 in the recreation hall at Nike Park, 13036 Nike Park Road, Carrollton.
