Blackwater Regional Library (BRL) has begun hosting six weeks of summer fun in the form of its 2025 Summer Reading Program featuring the theme of “Color Our World.” 

A library news release noted that this series of free events will take place Monday, June 23, through Saturday, Aug. 2, at all BRL locations, including those in Windsor, Franklin and Courtland. 

“Each program is specifically crafted to encourage families to visit the library to experience summer enrichment to keep minds and creativity fresh,” library officials stated. “After all, studies show summer programs help to stem the effects of summer reading loss, also known as the ‘Summer Slide.’”

Following are area BRL branch schedules for summer reading events recommended for children ages 5-12:
