WCW holds Students Art Show

Carrsville Elementary School student Wyatt Lewis holds up his artwork that earned a second-place ribbon.
Windsor High School student Hannah Eley’s 12-by-16-inch marker drawing of fruit earned Best of Category and first-place honors at the WCW’s recent Student Art Show.
Windsor Elementary School student Emerson Futrell holds up her 8-by-10 ½-inch paper collage, along with the blue ribbon that it earned.
Georgie D. Tyler Middle School student Miranda Esquirel Lopez’s 8 ½-by-11-inch work of art earned ribbons for Best Category and first place at the WCW’s recent Student Art Show.

The Arts and Culture Committee of the Woman’s Club of Windsor Inc. (WCW) recently held a Student Art Show with students from Carrsville Elementary School, Windsor Elementary School, Georgie D. Tyler Middle School and Windsor High School participating.
“The support of the art teachers was tremendous and greatly appreciated,” club officials stated in a news release.
Rev. Ruffin Alphin, artist and retired minister, judged the entries.
“The club was pleased by the many parents, grandparents and members of the community who attended the show,” club officials stated.
