Windsor High’s Butler sets state record at track championship

Windsor High School’s Tim Butler placed first, won the Virginia High School League boys Class AA State Championship in boys shot put and boys discus, and set a new Class AA state record in boys discus at a May 31-June 1 track meet held at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Windsor High’s girls track team also competed.

Demond Smith Placed second in boys discus and fifth in boys shot put.

Zimare Pearson placed fifth in the boys high jump and eighth in boys triple jump.

Shamyah Stephenson placed eighth in girls shot put.

The boys track team Placed sixth overall out of 50 teams.
