To the Editor:

I am appalled by the vote to approve the Carver Solar project in Windsor. How can Rudolph Jefferson, William M. McCarty and Dick Grice ignore the majority of constituents and approve an unproven technology.

The basic tenet of government is that the elected represent the “people” who elect them. Instead, it appears money means more than the people. It is also an oddity that the three who approved the project are from the other end of the county. On top of that, Grice broke a golden rule (not a law) and negotiated outside his covered district.

Wonder why people distrust government? Look no further than the Isle of Wight Board of Supervisors!
