Forty-one kids from Franklin, Southampton County, Suffolk and Isle of Wight County were in attendance at a fishing camp held April 3 at the 4-H center in Wakefield.

A Camp25 press release noted that the camp, intended for kids ages 4-17, was hosted by Camp25 in partnership with Kevin Gunn, Deputy Bristol Philips and Brett Rutledge.

The camp introduced participants to the great sport of fishing, and each camper had the opportunity to learn about the different species of fish, different types of baits and how to cast a fishing pole. Campers also had the opportunity to fish and tour Gunn’s boat.

Each camper received hot dogs, cheeseburgers and a certificate at the end of camp.
