Jessica Jones-Healey, president of the Isle of Wight County Chamber of Commerce, has been named to Inside Business’s “Top 40 under 40” list for 2021.

The publication serves as a regional business journal for all of Hampton Roads. This special edition, published annually in October, recognizes outstanding young local business people under age 40.

“I was very honored to be selected as a Top 40 Under 40 recipient this year,” Healey said.

Healey began her career as a small-business owner at age 23 when she opened a studio and taught piano, voice and musical theater lessons for just shy of six years.

“Those six years taught me a lot about what it takes to be a small business owner,” Healey said. “It is no easy task and takes a very special person to put in the work, time and energy to make their dream a reality.”

She and her husband then relocated to Smithfield in 2015.

“A few years later I found myself presented with an opportunity to work with the businesses in Isle of Wight County as president/executive director for the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce,” Healey said. “These last four years with the Chamber have been full of growth for our business community and for myself. I am proud to serve our members in this role and look forward to continuing to be the ‘voice of business’ for Smithfield, Windsor and Isle of Wight County.”
