The Windsor Farmer’s Market will start May 7 in the parking lot of Old Point National Bank at

11407 Windsor Blvd. The market will be open every Friday afternoon from 3:30-6:30 p.m. through the month of September.

It will be a place to buy produce, meats, prepared meals, baked goods and other locally made foods, and it will bring back a community gathering place where people have a chance to chat with neighbors and meet new ones.

Special rules will be in place in accordance with Gov. Ralph Northam’s most up-to-date executive orders to comply with social distancing and mask guidelines for as long as necessary.

There are still some vendor spots available at the market, and while Anytime Fitness, Farmer’s Bank, Old Point National Bank and Joey Bikkers with Phoenix Physical Therapy have all made vital contributions, organizers are also still looking for additional sponsorship funds to help pay for the market’s insurance and signage. Vendor applications and sponsorship information can be obtained by emailing WindsorVAFarmersMarket@gmail.com.
