IWCS offering Child Find screenings

In an attempt to actively identify, locate and evaluate children AGES 2 through 21, who are in need of special education services and/or protection under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Isle of Wight County Schools will host Child Find Screenings on the dates listed below.

“If you suspect that your child may have delays and/or disabilities, please join us for a brief screening of your child’s fine and gross motor skills, speech language development and cognitive abilities,” stated IWCS spokeswoman Lynn Briggs in a press release.

  • Monday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, in Carrollton Elementary School, 14440 New Towne Haven Lane. Call 357-8850 for details or directions.
  • Wednesday, March 11, from noon to 3 p.m. in Windsor Elementary School, 20008 Courthouse Highway. Call 242-4193 for details or directions.
