Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

COURTLAND

December will be here before you know it, and that’ll mean it’s time for a holiday-themed show. This year, the Franklin-Southampton Concert Association has invited The Raleigh Ringers to chime in the season. The show will be on Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the auditorium of Southampton High School in Courtland.

Nancy Rowe, association president, said for people who are not yet subscribers to call her at 653-7914 about tickets. The cost will be $30 at door for adults; $10 for students; for groups of 15 or more people, $25 apiece.

The handbell choir hails from — where else — Raleigh, North Carolina, and the ensemble got started in 1990. In addition to touring nationally and in Canada, the members have also traveled overseas to England and France.

As one might expect, the Raleigh Ringers have recorded their music onto CDs and DVDs.

Rowe stated, “We are indeed fortunate to have The Raleigh Ringers here to get us in the spirit of the Christmas season!”
