These will include the DVS assisting veterans with  benefits claims and education employment opportunities. Representatives of the Eastern Virginia Medical School, VCU Health with healthcare education, blood pressure testing, body measurements and diabetes screenings.

“Between Prince George County’s Fort Lee and the dense veteran and military population across Surry, Isle of Wight, and Suffolk, the 64th District is home to one of the largest military and veteran populations in the world,” Brewer stated in a press release. “Most of the district is rural and it can be difficult for our veterans, many of whom are disabled, to reach the services they need.”

She continued, “In 2018, I organized and hosted the first-ever 64th District Mobile Veteran Resource Center to bring these services to our veterans. I will be hosting another round of MVRC events this summer and need your help spreading the word.

Brewer said these events will be non-partisan and non-political, and also urged people to share information about these sessions with other veterans.
