What better way to start the new year than playing games? On Tuesday, Jan. 1, the American Legion Post 49 will host New Year’s Day Bingo in the Legion Post, 818 S. Church St., Smithfield.

Card sales open at 1 p.m., game begins at 2 p.m. Come out and start the New Year with friends and a chance at a $500 top price.
