CARRSVILLE

Investigators with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s office responded to an armed robbery of the 7-Eleven store located in the 1100 block of Carrsville highway near the City of Franklin.

Lt. Tommy Potter, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, stated that at approximately 1:21 a.m. on Friday, two black males entered the store displaying handguns and forced the clerk, at gun point, to open the register. While partially disguised, the suspects can be described as black males between 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing between 150 to 165 pounds.

In addition to money, the suspects took cigarettes and other items from the shelves. Upon exiting the store, they fled on foot to the area of the Springdale apartment complex. Investigators feel that these same individuals may have been responsible for a similar robbery in August of this year at the same store.
