Dragons overpower Dukes in final game, 41-12

The Windsor High School football team concluded season on Thursday, playing against Park View High School.

As team spokesman Roland Downing put it, “The Windsor Dukes held tough against 3A Park View ultimately falling by a 41-12 score.

He added that Daequan Garris led the team with 32 rushes for 247 yards and two touchdowns.

By the first quarter, the Dragons had already achieved 14 points. In the second quarter, the Dukes got their first touchdown with 2:50 left on the clock. They also kept their opponents scoreless.

At 8:20 in the third quarter, Park View got both a touchdown and conversion, putting them at 21-0. But only 20 seconds later, Windsor achieved its second and final touchdown, putting the score at 21-12. Less than three minutes later, the Dragons got another touchdown, but no conversion. Then at 4:07 on the clock, the team got the last touchdown and conversion for the quarter, putting them at 34-12.

The Dukes fought hard throughout the fourth quarter to prevent the Dragons from scoring further. But they did Park get one more touchdown and conversion, which happened at 6:57 on the clock.
