Lynette Allston, chief of the Nottoway Indian Tribe, announced that the powwow scheduled for this weekend in Surry County also has been cancelled, and it also will not be rescheduled for later this year. She added that next year’s dates will be Sept. 21-22.

As had been previously announced online, the Isle of Wight County Fair had been cancelled earlier th is week, and will not be rescheduled.
