Genieve Shelter plans anniversary gala

The Genieve Shelter is a non-profit organization that provides shelter and supportive services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. The Genieve Shelters serves the cities of Suffolk and Franklin, the counties of Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Surry, and the town of Smithfield. The Genieve shelter’s mission is to provide a safe refuge and supportive environment for victims; provide information, education, and training services which focus on ending the cycles of violence.

The Genieve Shelter will be hosting a gala celebrating 30th year anniversary. The event is titled “30 Years of Serving the Many Face of Domestic Violence” and will be on Friday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. in The Hilton Garden Inn on 100 E. Constance Road, Suffolk.

The gala will include hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, a live auction, a key note speaker, tons of networking opportunities, and live entertainment by Paul Bell’s band “Sounds of Time,” Tickets are $50 per person and the attire is semi-formal.

Corporate sponsorships are also available for $250, $500, $1,000 and $5,000.
