Lunch and Learn with Jeff Byrd: Come join us on Tuesday, Sept. 25, for the first Chamber workshop of fall 2018. We kick it off with guest speaker, Jeff Byrd, who will talk about “Motivation in the Workplace.” Jeff is a certified speaker, trainer and coach with The John Maxwell Team. You will enjoy a provided lunch coupled with learning new skills on how to create and maintain motivation in your workplace using the S-U-C-C-E-S-S Method.

This will begin at 11 a.m. in AmeriCare Plus, 13478 Carrollton Blvd. Cost is $20 for Chamber members; $40 for non-members. Program ends at 12:30 p.m.

Annual Meeting and Awards Reception: The Chamber will host this event on Tuesday, Oct. 9, starting at 4 p.m. in the Cedar Point Country Club, Suffolk. Program ends at 6 p.m. “Feathers and Fedoras” will be the theme. Get your tickets NOW for our Annual Meeting and Awards Reception…Feathers and Fedoras! We’ve got a “dapper” theme, fresh tunes, and there will even be a little “foot juice”… let’s “roar” into 2019 in style!

We will also be presenting awards for: Entrepreneur of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Citizen of the Year!

Tickets are $40 for Chamber members/$45 for non-members.

Business After Hours: The Bank of Southside Virginia, 115 Main St., Smithfield, will host the event on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This event is open to all chamber members and prospective members, and offers an opportunity for business professionals to network as well as enjoy great conversations and refreshments.
