ISLE OF WIGHT

As required by state law, Isle of Wight County is conducting a general reassessment of real estate. All real property will be assessed at fair market value. The reassessment will be effective on Monday, July 1, 2019.

The Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group will conduct the reassessment in conjunction with the Board of Assessors who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Assessors will begin work on Monday, April 16, visiting each property in the county. Wampler-Eanes staff will wear a photo ID badge from Isle of Wight County for easy identification by taxpayers. Their vehicles will be marked “County Reassessment.”

Notices are scheduled to be mailed in late February and public hearings scheduled in March.

For questions, property owners may contact the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office at 365-6218.
