The Windsor Marching Dukes performed in their first of seven holiday parades scheduled for this season on Saturday night, at the 33rd annual Grand Illumination Parade in Norfolk. The marching band consists of 62 members this season, its largest group in decades.

The band is composed of students in grades 6-12 under the direction of Broc Smith. The band’s senior drum major this year is Leyda Sanders, and its junior drum major is Erubey Meniola.

The band will perform in the Carrsville parade on Dec. 2 in the morning, and Windsor’s parade in the evening the same day. On Dec. 3, the band is scheduled to perform in the town of Ivor’s parade, and the city of Franklin’s parade on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 9, the band will perform in the town of Smithfield’s annual Christmas parade in the morning and the city of Suffolk’s parade in the evening.
